We had an emergency with our dog last night and they not only took me immediately, but they were caring and thorough during the exam. I was extremely appreciate of the kindness and professionalism of the entire staff. Thank you!
I called about putting my 18 yr. old dog to sleep and I was being questioned why - understandable. Then I was questioned if my dog had all his vaccines - like a vaccine was going to be of any help at this stage. Hard enough going through the process on saying good-bye to an old friend and family member. I didn't appreciate being ridiculed about being behind on shots - 18 yr. Australian Shepard ... I think I know how to give a dog a full life. Stay away from this place.
I have taken my cats and dog to Dr. Rogers for several years. He is always gentle with my cats and my dog loves visiting him. (Sometimes she takes me there on her morning walk, although he is not open at that early hour) His prices are reasonable and he does not pressure you to agree to expensive invasive procedures. Over the years I have had two older cats get sick. Both times he explained all the options, and both times I opted for less invasive palliative care instead of lots of tests and surgery. Neither time did he urge me to do more, or make me feel like I cared for them less, because I didn't want to spend thousands of dollars and subject them to the treatment required to keep them alive a little longer. He will communicate over email, which is convenient, although (of course) he will not diagnose or recommend treatment without an examination.
Dr. Rogers is very knowledgeable and cares for EACH animal he treats. He takes time with each patient making sure all your questions are answered and that the animals have the best care. He personally follows us on the animal to ensure treatments are working and the patient is getting better. I did not give five stars because I think he could use some help in the office and the place could use some tidying up.
This vet has a nasty attitude. He has no customer service whatsoever. He expects the pet owner to give a diagnosis and does not provide instructions for care. The reception area is packed with items all over the chairs, has a foul odor and is filthy. The examination room is also filthy- the floor looks as if it hasn’t been cleaned in weeks! If I could give him zero stars I would.
